Semantic features of the class of words referring to animals in the Vietnamese children’s folk songs

Abstract

The article surveys and analyzes the semantic features of the class of words referring to animals in the Vietnamese children’s folk songs. The main research methods of the article are description, statistics and classification. The survey results have given the frequency of appearance of animal words. Documentary descriptions have shown the symbolic meaning and unique features of the animal world in the Vietnamese children’s folk songs.
