The Mường culture reflected in comparative expressions with forest plants as compared entities (Surveys of Mường proverbs and folk songs)

Abstract

Muong (Mol, Mual, Moi) is an ethnic minority group among the 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. Despite the fact that Muong's culture has been influenced by cultural interference, it still retains its traditional cultural features. The culture of the Muong is evident in the way Muong people choose the comparative entities related to the forest plants. The selection of comparative entities in the comparative linguistic expressions of the Muong has reflected the life and cultural experiences of the Muong when they interact with the nature and with objective reality.
