The source domain of journey in the conceptual metaphors in Vietnamese and American English political discourse

Abstract

This article, relied on research achievements of English discourse analysis, aims to further eloborate the research direction of conceptual metaphors in Vietnamese and American English political discourse based on the source domain of JOURNEY. At the same time, it compares the typical conceptual metaphor expressions in political discourse of these two languages based on this source domain.
